NextGen Showcase 2024- 2025, Creative Director
Project Name: On Air Studios
Our team, Carousel Creative Group, was comprised of members from all around the world. As we shared our different backgrounds, we connected over a common experience: watching a game, competition, or reality show on TV and thinking, βππ©πΊ π₯πͺπ₯ π΅π©π¦πΊ π₯π° π΅π©π’π΅? π πΈπ°πΆππ₯ π₯π° π΅π©π’π΅ π₯πͺπ§π§π¦π³π¦π―π΅ππΊ.β It was this seemingly universal experience that inspired us to create ππ― ππͺπ³ ππ΅πΆπ₯πͺπ°π΄, our proposal in response to a simulated client brief that requested a new Location-Based Experience for a mall in Springfield, Virginia. At ππ― ππͺπ³ ππ΅πΆπ₯πͺπ°π΄, guests are invited to step into the shoes of contestants, embrace the spotlight, and experience their favorite shows for themselves. And just like in a real show, the cameras are rolling and thereβs an episode to take home at the end!
Over the course of 11 months, I worked as Creative Director of an international and interdisciplinary team that developed a Location-Based Experience (LBE) through Blue Sky, Concept Design, and Schematics phases. We considered all the different facets of what goes into a successful LBE, such as guest experience, F&B offerings, and accessibility. We were even able to present at IAAPA and gain valuable feedback along the way. Through it all, stepping into the Creative Director role and developing this LBE concept was an incredibly educational growth opportunity that expanded my design, leadership and communication skills.
